Through The Haven Method™, we focus on shaping confident learners, kind hearts, and curious minds preparing children not just for kindergarten, but for a lifelong love of learning.

How does Haven prioritize health and safety?
The health, safety, and well-being of children and families are foundational at Haven. Each location is a fully licensed childcare provider and follows strict safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
Our nurturing environments are designed to help children feel secure, supported, and free to explore with confidence.
How does Haven measure my child’s progress?
Haven takes a whole-child approach to growth and development.
- Meaningful Learning: Activities are thoughtfully designed with purpose and connection.
- Developmental Support: We use the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQs) to understand each child’s progress and provide responsive, developmentally appropriate guidance.
- Community Connection: Family involvement and cultural inclusion are woven into daily learning.
- State Standards: Our program supports children’s growth across all developmental domains while building confidence and emerging skills.
- Partnership with families: Parent-teacher conferences are a space for shared reflection; celebrating growth, discussing goals, and collaborating on how best to support each child moving forward.
Families stay connected through our app with daily reports, updates, and photos, strengthening the partnership between home and Haven.
How many Haven locations are there?
Haven currently has three locations across two states: New Jersey and Rhode Island. We are excited to expand into the Chicagoland area in Illinois, with new locations opening in 2026.
Haven is growing through franchising, offering an opportunity to bring our premium, family-centered model to new communities nationwide. If you’re interested in reshaping childcare for modern families in your own community, learn more about the Haven franchising opportunity.
What does learning look like on a typical day?
Learning at Haven is active, intentional, and deeply connected to children's real experiences. Each day follows a predictable routine that helps children feel safe and confident while allowing flexibility for curiosity and discovery.
Children engage in a balance of:
- Child-led exploration using hands-on, open-ended materials
- Small group and individual work that supports emerging skills and independence
- Collaborative play and projects that strengthen communication and problem solving
- Outdoor learning that supports physical development, risk assessment, and connection to nature
- Guided moments with teachers where language, reflection, and new ideas are intentionally introduced
Teachers observe closely, ask thoughtful questions, and offer gentle guidance to extend learning rather than direct it. Play is purposeful and meaningful, supporting growth in language, math, literacy, social emotional development, and executive functioning throughout the day.
How do you prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond?
At each Haven club, school readiness means more than academic skills. It means helping children develop the confidence, independence and resilience they need to thrive in any learning environment.
Haven prepares children by supporting:
- Independence and self care such as managing belongings, making choices, and completing tasks with focus
- Social-emotional readiness including emotional regulation, collaboration, problem-solving and self-advocacy
- Foundational academic skills woven naturally into play and real work
- Executive functioning such as attention, flexibility, perseverance and following multi-step directions
- A positive relationship with learning built through curiosity, confidence, and intrinsic motivation
Rather than rushing children towards formal academics, we focus on the developmental foundations that research shows lead to long-term success. Children leave a Haven club not only ready for kindergarten, but prepared to navigate new challenges, relationships, and learning experiences with confidence.
